Celebrate The Chinese New Year in Patchogue

This Monday is the Chinese Lunar New Year, which in 2016 starts the Year of the Monkey. Celebrations are taking place all across the world, with many large festivals and parades happening in our area in Chinatown and Queens. Long Island also has it's fair share of Chinese New Year celebrations that you can find here.

New Village residents can celebrate the year of the monkey with Four Gates, Patchogue’s very own local Chinese Martial Arts Center. They will be celebrating the holiday, as well as their anniversary, on the Chinese Lunar New Year with a pot luck! You can pick up your tickets in advance and bring your favorite dish. There will also be a raffle with prizes taking place.

If you are looking for a low key way to celebrate the Lunar New Year, order some Chinese from one of Patchogue’s many delicious Chinese Restaurants! Here's a list of our favorites below.
