Long Island Restaurant Weeks is back for the Fall 2018
installment! The award-winning celebration of dining on Long Island will run
from Sunday, November 4th through Sunday, November 11th. There
are plenty of restaurants in the Patchogue area participating in this special
bi-annual event. To get an idea of where you can dine near the New Village,
check out some of the eateries below.
View Restaurant- If you’re craving seafood, the View is your
go-to destination for Long Island Restaurant Week. Known for their contemporary
American fare with an emphasis on seafood, as well as the beautiful view of the
Great South Bay, View offers favorites like Steamed PEI Mussels, and New
England Clam “Chowda” for your appetizer. For your second course, select Cedar
Roasted Scottish Salmon, Roasted Atlantic Swordfish, or if you’re craving meat,
Chianti-braised Short Ribs. Finish off your meal with crème brulee, chocolate
truffle marquise, or the gelato/sorbet selection of the day.
Avino’s Italian Table - If you’re in the mood for a classic
Italian-American dinner, you have to pay a visit to Avino’s Italian Table.
Located in Bellport on South Country Road, Avino’s has been a staple in the
neighborhood for old world Italian cuisine. Stop in for lunch or dinner during
restaurant week to try restaurant favorites such as Panzanella salad or sautéed
PEI mussels for an appetizer, and Lobster Ravioli, Pappardelle Bolognese or
Chicken Marsala for dinner. Dessert selections include Pumpkin Bread Pudding,
Lemon Tart, Cannoli, Tiramisu, or Chocolate Layer Cake.
Chachama Grill- For contemporary American dining, pay a
visit to the Chachama Grill, located on Montauk Highway in East Patchogue. Enjoy a starter of white bean soup, atlantic
salmon cake, or a braised seasonal vegetable salad. Follow your appetizer with
a choice of the delicious bronzini, rigatoni with lamb shank, or smoked braised
ribs. Finish off your meal with a choice of tapioca pudding, chocolate cake, or
the house specialty, coconut panna cotta.
