Celebrating Mardi Gras Around Patchogue

Just because Mardi Gras takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana doesn’t mean you can’t also celebrate here in Patchogue! Multiple venues in the greater Patchogue area will be participating in the celebration, making it easy for you to join in on the fun.

Café Joelle- Sayville

To enjoy some authentic Southern cooking, you have to check out Café Joelle in Sayville. Staring on Thursday, February 23rd, Café Joelle will be featuring their signature Mardi Gras celebration menu, packed with Cajun favorites that are enjoyed during this special time of year. Favorites include Seafood, Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo, Alligator Cakes, Shrimp Etoufee, and Classic Jambalaya. Enjoy your meal with special drinks, such as Voodoo Juice, or the New Orleans favorite drink, the Hurricane.

Treme Blues and Jazz Club- Islip

Named for the French Quarter neighborhood where jazz was born, Treme Blues and Jazz Club will be hosting their annual Mardi Gras Party on Fat Tuesday, February 28th.  Dave Clive’s Nawlins Funk Band will be headlining the celebration and will feature Gulf-coast inspired blues and jazz. Though the club is known most for their music, there will be New Orlean’s –inspired small plates, desserts, and cocktails. Cover will be $10.

Off Key Tiki-Patchogue


Head over to Off Key Tiki on Sunday, February 26th to celebrate “Carnival Lime”, Trindad’s celebration of Mardi Gras. This Caribbean-themed celebration will start at 4pm with $10 cover, and $15 for an unlimited, full buffet of Caribbean favorites. Live music will be playing all evening, and Mardi masks and beads will be given out to attendees.
