Winter Activities in Patchogue

Despite the cold weather, there are still plenty of events and activities taking place in the bustling suburban town of Patchogue. Instead of staying in and binging Netflix, check out some of the events taking place near the New Village to get you out of the winter hibernation mode!

Outdoor Ice Skating at The Rinx at Harborfront Park – Bring out your inner kid by going ice skating at The Rinx at Harborfront Park. Located in Port Jefferson, about 20-25 minutes north of Patchogue, you can ice skate outdoors while taking in beautiful views of Port Jefferson Harbor. Rentals are available on site. Check out the link below for public skating hours and more information.

Blue Point Brewery “Parking Lot” Party – On Saturday, January 19th, Blue Point Brewery will be hosting a Parking Lot Party on the grounds of their new brewery location on West Main Street. Although the new brewery headquarters won’t officially open until the spring, the brewery is celebrating a one-day can release of three collaboration with local home brewers. The party will kick off at 1pm in heated tents on-premises and will have plenty of brews, wood-fired pizzas, and small bites to go around. For more information, check out the link below.

Seal Walks with Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island (CRESLI) – Bundle up and head outdoors to see winter marine wildlife with the CRESLI. This month, CRESLI is offering a number of dates for guided seal walks and Cupsogue Beach, where you can have the chance to spot seals on shore and in the nearby water.
