Holiday Lights Spectacular on Long Island

Jones Beach will be holding their Holiday Lights Spectacular taking place now through January 3rd. Back for the second year in a row after a hiatus from 2007-2014, this spectacular event will feature light displays spread out over the course of 2.5 miles that light up in amazing displays for visitors to see. Visitors drive through the displays to view the lights. You don’t want to miss out on this great holiday event!

Only a 35 minute drive from Patchogue, New Village residents can enjoy this light display 7 days a week. The show will be open Sundays to Thursdays from dusk (approximately 5 pm) until 10 pm. Fridays and Saturdays the Holiday Spectacular will be open from dusk until 11 pm.

The theme this year is Santa meets extreme sports. There will be over 150 light displays with some featuring Santa on a zipline, Santa in tubes, and performing some extreme stunts in the North Pole. Some of their traditional displays from past years will also be featured. In addition to lights the displays are put up with other decorations such as inflatable polar bears and reindeer and other wonderful holiday decorations. This year there will be a holiday village where you can have your photo taken with Santa Clause, enjoy some holiday themed refreshments and music, and take a trip around the ice skating rink.
