For 22 years Patchogue residents have enjoyed the annual
tradition of the Holiday Parade of Boats event on the Patchogue River. New
Village residents can take part in the holiday fun in just a few weeks on
Saturday November 21st and Sunday November 22nd!
Every year a theme is chosen for the event to enhance the
fun and give local residents a sense of what they can expect and get everyone
excited! This year the theme of the event will be “ A Disney Christmas”. Anyone
is welcome to decorate and participate in the event. One staple that Patchogue
residents know to expect is Santa on the Last Boat that makes it’s way around
the river!
The parade can easily be viewed from several different parks
and locations for easy accommodation to residents. Sandspit Park-- Davis Park Ferry Terminal at Brightwood Street,
and Fire Island National SeaShore Ferry Terminal all have free public viewing of the parade. There will be a live DJ at all places where you can access a view—and this even includes some local restaurants located right on the river. These include Patchogue favorites like The Oar, On the Waterfront, Harbor Crab Co and Off Key Tikki.
