Summer Street Festival Alive After Five!
Thanks to the 12th annual Alive After Five summer street festival, the streets are hoppin’ in Patchogue this August. The completely free street fair is packed with over 80 vendors and 11 food trucks, and Alive After Five also has tons of activities for kids including face painting, and even a Chinese auction. Running from 5-9 pm, there are five different stages of musical entertainment ranging from acoustic jamming to celebratory gospel.
Locals have been celebrating the street fest that runs through Main Street in Patchogue for over a decade and it continues to thrive due to its increasing popularity. In case anyone wants to make the streets more alive, alcohol is also available for purchase and if you find yourself too drunk, there is always the nearby dunk tank. Some of this year’s fantastic sponsors include The Tap Room, Public House and Brick House Brewery. The Chinese auction includes some incredible prizes and it’s only $5 for 25 tickets.
The next official Alive After Five date is August 22nd with a rain date of September 5th. Whether you are a local in Patchogue or a first time visitor, the Alive After Five festival is a great way to get to know the city and it’s wonderful inhabitants. Just don’t end up in the dunk tank!
