Annual Sand Creation Contest- Planning on heading to the
beach this weekend? If so, you might as well go on Sunday, September 2nd
to Fire Island to participate in the Annual Sand Creation Contest! The context
will take place at Sailors Haven on Fire Island from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Judging
starts at 1:00pm and awards and prizes will be given at 2:00pm. Participation
in the event is free.
Blue Island Oyster Farm and Kayak Tour– Spend the unofficial
last weekend of summer out on the Great South Bay enjoying freshly shucked
oysters from Blue Island Oyster Farm! On September 1st this Labor
Day weekend, Blue Island is offering an exclusive tour of their farm and
surroundings with a kayak tour. The event will last approximately 3 hours and
includes a traditional New England lobster tool for lunch, lots of farm fresh
Blue Island oysters, and a guided kayak eco-tour around the oyster farm. Learn

Labor Day Eve Party at The Village Idiot- Looking for plans
on Sunday night? Gather your friends and head over to The Village Idiot Pub on
Sunday, September 2nd for their Labor Day Eve Party! Only steps away
from The New Village, head over to the bar around 9 to enjoy the party! There
will be a live DJ, as well as drink specials and great food. The best part is you
have no work the next day!
