The holiday season is upon us in Patchogue with Thanksgiving
only days away! If you will be staying local near the New Village for the
holiday, considering checking out one of the many activities taking place in
the area (in between filling up on delicious Thanksgiving food of course)!
Going Out on Thanksgiving Eve – If you’ll be joining the
thousands of people going out for the biggest party night of the year, consider
staying local and visiting one of the local bars in Patchogue. Stereo Garden,
the new restaurant and bar that has taken over the previous location of the
Emporium nightclub, will be celebrating it’s grand opening in a big way. There
will be live music and DJs playing all night long. Arrive before 7pm to enjoy happy
hour specials and no cover charge. Once the Thanksgiving Eve festivities are
over, Stereo Garden will operate seven days a week as a sports bar, outdoor
beer garden, full service restaurant, concert hall, and private catering space.
10th Annual Smiles Turkey Trot – Take part in
Blue Point’s 10th Annual Smiles Turkey Trot, a 5K Fun Run to benefit
the Smiles Change Lives organization. Started in 2008 by local orthodontist and
runner, Dr. Frank R. Egan, Smiles Change Lives provides life-changing, essential
orthodontic treatments for children from low-income families. The Fun Run will
start at 9am on Middle Road at Barteau Avenue. Register now to participate for
$25.
Holiday Parade in Patchogue – Celebrate the holiday season
by attending Patchogue’s Holiday Parade on Main Street. Believed to be the
oldest and largest Christmas parade on Long Island, the parade features holiday
costumes and an appearance by Santa. After the parade concludes, there will be
a celebratory tree lighting at Capital One Plaza around 8:30pm.
