Although you can take the ferry from Sayville or Bayshore to Fire Island, the best way to travel on the hike path is to park your car at Robert Moses State Park, Field 5. The path starts from the left side of the Field 5 parking lot. Walk along to explore the Fire Island lighthouse and learn about its rich history.
