What's Happening in Patchogue this November

The Town of Patchogue has been getting a lot of press in the local news and media lately for the fun activities and events it offers to it’s residents and nearby Long Islanders. If you want to get in the know, check out some of the activities and events featured here.

Bocce Night at 89 North

Although 89 North may be best known as one of Long Island’s premier music venues, it opens it’s doors on Tuesday nights for Bocce Night, where members of the American Bocce Company can play their game on installable courts indoors. For those who are not familiar of Bocce, teams of four throw red or green balls, known as “bowls” down a 30-foot turf court hoping to land as close as possible to the smaller white ball, known as “the jack”. Games run from 6:30pm-9:00pm, however teams must be registered in advance at americanbocceco.com. Leagues run for seven weeks, and cost $69 per player, or $260 per team.

The Reopening of Patchogue’s Carnegie Library

This past month, the century-old Carnegie library reopened it’s doors to local residents after undergoing a $1.5 million renovation. The library, which now includes a youth center and a space for community events, is now part of the Patchogue-Medford library system. Just a four-minute walk from your New Village Apartment, the new library offers a number of books and movies available for rent. In addition, yoga, tai chi, and other adult classes will be offered at the library, Click here to check out this month’s  event calendar.
