With Halloween being less than a week away, it’s the perfect time to get in spirit of the holiday by taking
part in themed activities happening around Patchogue. If ghost stories, haunted
tales, and eerie sights are your things, you’ll definitely want to check out
the events below.
Haunted Places in the Greater Patchogue Area
Explore some of the well-known
places on Long Island that are known to have a haunted past. Make your own tour
and visit the sites around the greater Patchogue area that are known to host
ghoulish spirits. If you’re not sure where to start, check out this listing of sites that share happenings of paranormal activity, among which
include the Kings Park Psychiatric Center, which one conducted dramatic
procedures of lobotomies and electroshock therapy, and the haunted areas of
Lake Ronkonkoma.
Gateway’s Haunted House
If you’re a true Halloween
fanatic, your Halloween season wouldn’t be complete without a visit to
Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse, located 10 minutes away from the New Village in
Bellport. Scary zombies, possessed baby dolls await you as you enter into the
ghost-story narrative of the haunted house. After the tour is over, stick
around to enjoy food off the grill and seasonal desserts, such as a pumpkin
cannoli or an apple pie egg roll. For tickets and schedule information, click here.
RISE of the Jack O’Lanterns
Head over to Old Westbury Garden’s
