Haunted House Fun Around Long Island

With Halloween being less than a week away, it’s the perfect time to get in spirit of the holiday by taking part in themed activities happening around Patchogue. If ghost stories, haunted tales, and eerie sights are your things, you’ll definitely want to check out the events below.

Haunted Places in the Greater Patchogue Area
Explore some of the well-known places on Long Island that are known to have a haunted past. Make your own tour and visit the sites around the greater Patchogue area that are known to host ghoulish spirits. If you’re not sure where to start, check out this listing of sites that share happenings of paranormal activity, among which include the Kings Park Psychiatric Center, which one conducted dramatic procedures of lobotomies and electroshock therapy, and the haunted areas of Lake Ronkonkoma.

Gateway’s Haunted House
If you’re a true Halloween fanatic, your Halloween season wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse, located 10 minutes away from the New Village in Bellport. Scary zombies, possessed baby dolls await you as you enter into the ghost-story narrative of the haunted house. RISE of the Jack O’Lanterns

Head over to Old Westbury Garden’s to experience RISE of the Jack O’Lanterns, making it’s stop on Long Island from now until October 30th. Though maybe not as scary as it is fun, RISE takes you through a tour of hundreds of intricately carved jack o’lanterns, all set up in themed displays.
