Summer Festivals Near Patchogue

There’s something about summer weather and festivals that just go together, and Long Island offers an abundance of these events throughout the summer and into early Fall. Listed below are some upcoming festivals that will be celebrating food, music and much more.

Long Island Seafood Festival

This year marks the 25^th anniversary of the Long Island Seafood Festival, which takes place just down the road at the Long Island Maritime Museum located at 88 West Venue in West Sayville. This year, the festival will be taking place Saturday, August 27^th and Sunday, August 28^th from 10:00am-7:00pm. General admission is $10 per person, but once inside you get to enjoy all that the Seafood Festival has to offer, which includes live entertainment, and of course food! The two main sponsors of the event, which are the Blue Island Oyster Company and Claws Seafood Market, will be serving a variety of seafood treats along with dozens of other food vendors. Long Island Bluegrass Festival

If you’re a Bluegrass and country music fan, you should check out the 14^th Annual Long Island Bluegrass Festival, taking place August 20^th from 12pm-7pm at Tanner Park in Copiague, NY. With the festival set right on the Great South Bay, you can listen to the sounds of Flatt Lonesome, Jim Hurst Trio, and Abby Hollander, among others. Presale tickets cost $15 dollars, and general admission at the event will be $20.

Long Island Comedy Festival

For a fun night out filled with plenty of laughs, stop by the Long Island Comedy Festival, happening Friday, August 26^th and Saturday, August 27^th at 8pm at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson. In it’s 11^th year, the Long Island Comedy Festival offers stand up from comedians around the country, many of them national headliners. Tickets cost $35 per night.
