Celebrate the Holidays Around Patchogue

The holiday season is upon us, and Christmas and Hanukkah are quickly approaching! There are several different holiday events taking place this month here in Patchogue that residents at New Village of Patchogue can participate in to get into the holiday spirit.

On Sunday December 6th take advantage before the weather gets too cold and take part in Patchogue’s very own holiday 5k run. Santa’s 5K Toy Trot Event will be taking place again this year and is hosted by Kiwanis Club. The run will start at 11 am and will begin in front of Shorefront Park. Participants and spectators are encouraged to dress in festive attire. For information on how to register for the race or to learn more visit the event homepage or take a look at their Facebook page here. Make sure to bring an unopened toy as well to donate to their toy drive!

Also on December 6th later in the evening Patchogue will be hosting a Menorah lighting. Come and join Rabbi Joel Levinson and the members of Temple Beth El and other Patchogue and Long Island local residents at Capital One Plaza at 5 pm. The lighting is expected to last until 6 pm. There will also be holiday songs sure to make this a great holiday event to kick off the beginning of Hanukkah! You can find more information and contact information if you have any questions by visiting their website.

Main Street Holiday Stroll will take place this year on Saturday December 12th!  From 12pm until 5 pm take a walk up and down Main Street and see all the wonderful things about Patchogue during the holiday season! Stores will be holding special sales and some will even have stands outside the usual storefront (weather permitting). Special music will be playing along the street as you shop around. Whether you are looking for holiday gifts or something fun to do, come down to Main Street and enjoy the holiday season by embracing all the beautiful holiday storefront decorations, delicious Patchogue food, and fellow Patchogue residents!

  1. So pleased to read this interesting stuff regarding holiday parties. This year I hosted a grand company holiday party at most popular Chicago venue. For the arrangements I hired an experienced team of corporate event planners. Their work was truly adorable.
