Celebrate the End of 2015 at Midnight on Main Street

Celebrate ringing in the new year in the streets of Patchogue this winter and enjoy being in the company of New Village neighbors and other Long Island residents!
Plans for this year’s Midnight on Main Street have been underway all month and are in full swing as New Year’s Eve is quickly approaching. The event, which over 3,000 people attended to celebrate last year, is one of the only outdoor ball dropping events to celebrate the New Year—aside from Times Square of course!

What makes Patchogue’s celebration unique is the New Year’s countdown starts a little earlier then what is traditional. The countdown to 2016 will begin at 9 pm instead of midnight. This makes it possible for families and small children to take part in the fun event, as well as more local residents who may want to take part in other previous holiday plans closer to midnight.
The event itself will start at 8 pm and there is no certain ending time. There will be a fireworks display, ball drop (which they are hoping to make higher and more extravagant than last year) and plenty of food from local restaurants! The ball drop will take place at Capital One Plaza—just around the corner from New Village on East Main Street. There will also be a live DJ and dancing, party favor handouts and other fun activities.
