What’s New in Patchogue This Summer

If you haven’t been out and about in the town of Patchogue lately, there’s quite a few new shops popping up in town! Check out some of the new restaurants and shops that have opened up their doors near The New Village below.

The Salt Shack – The Salt Shack has officially opened its doors to the public as a new beachfront restaurant at Cedar Beach! Previously the former location of Beach Hut located off Ocean Parkway, The Salt Shack seeks to provide premium food and drinks and top-notch entertainment to beachgoers and locals.  The restaurant, which has a rooftop bar, offers a wide-ranging menu of contemporary American fare with an emphasis on coastal flavors. Check out their site below to learn more.

El Matador – The next time you’re craving Mexican food, check out El Matador, Patchogue’s newest Mexican restaurant to open its doors. Formerly known as Pita House location in East Patchogue, El Matador is owned and operated by a local father-daughter duo. If you’ll be stopping in, be sure to try the empanadas, arroz con pollo and the papaya! For a special occasion, consider dining in on June 2th, when the restaurant will be hosting a five-course Margarita Tasting Dinner.

South Shore Vintage – If you love the charm of previously owned items and the thrill of finding the perfect antique item, then you’ll love South Shore Vintage! Although the shop has been established on North Ocean Avenue in Patchogue for quite some time, they have just introduced a new clothing department to the store this month! Owner of South Shore Vintage, Elizabeth Plotz, has been sourcing her vintage threads by attending estate sales across the island! Stop in the store to check out their inventory and browse other vintage home décor items!
