Fourth of July Fireworks near New Village at Patchogue


There are many reasons to celebrate the Fourth of July this weekend. New Village of Patchogue residents can join in on the local fun with several firework displays happening around the area! After you are finished with all the day time holiday activities if you can’t get enough and are looking for something more, make sure to check out one of these extravagant Long Island shows that will be happening and sure to not disappoint!

Returning for the first time since 2009 Jones Beach will put on their Fireworks Spectacular show hosted by Garden State Fireworks and sponsored by Astoria Bank. This show will be a free event with only the standard cost of parking at the beach. WALK 97.5 FM and WHLI AM will provide music for the event by syncing their stations and playing patriotic tunes together. The fireworks are expected to start at 9:30 PM. Over 100,000 guest are expected to attend and the sun sets at 8:30, so make sure to arrive there a little early for some fantastic seats to this illuminating display!

Looking to avoid the hassle of all that traffic? Less than a half hour from New Village at Patchogue you can sail your way from Babylon to Jones Beach to see the return of the colorful fireworks display! Sailing from Captree State Park at 7 PM boats will be leaving on a scenic cruise down the bay to Jones Beach to enjoy the show from sea. If one weekend of fireworks isn’t enough, East Islip will host their annual celebration on Saturday the July 11th.  At Heckscher State Park their concert and fireworks show will begin at 8 PM. Grucci fireworks will put on a colorful display for this event which is to begin shortly after 9 PM.
