St. Patrick’s Day is Coming to New Village at Patchogue

As spring is slowly starting to approach, many of us are getting excited to celebrate one of the most talked about days in March! Whether you are looking to celebrate your heritage, dress in green from head-to-toe, or just gather with neighbors and friends, Patchogue has many local events going on for everyone to enjoy the spring weather and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

New Village at Patchogue is a short distance from the 19^th Annual Patchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year the parade will be on Sunday March 22nd starting at 11 am. Beginning on Route 112 and East Main Street, Patchogue’s parade is unique from other Long Island St. Patty’s day festivities because it starts off with a 5k run! The parade and run end on West Avenue, and lasts until about 2 p.m. In addition to the runners, the parade will feature floats, twirlers, dancers and pipe bands.

If one celebration isn’t enough for you, take advantage and get a full use out of all the green clothing and shamrock gear by attending Bayport's St. Patrick's Day parade weekend before Patchogue’s! Sunday March 15^th Bayport will be hosting their annual parade. The St. Patty’s Day Parade is the biggest event of the year for the town of Bayport with around 25,000 spectators attending each year. Beginning at 11:30 you can feast on some tasty Irish food, and listen to traditional live Irish music  while awaiting the start of the parade.
