Outdoor Exercise in Patchogue for Summer

When it’s this beautiful outside during the summer months in Patchogue, why not take your workout outside in the fresh air! With so many parks and waterfront locations near the New Village, there are plenty of opportunities to change up your usual gym routine for an outdoor workout.

Biking at Hecksher State Park – Turn up the gears and head to Hecksher State Park for a biking workout. With over four-miles of paved, multi-use trails through forest and meadows, Hecksher State Park is a perfect place to spend some time on your bike. While you ride along the trail, be sure to take in the beautiful views of the Great South Bay and Fire Island.

Long Island Tough Mudder – Do you think you have what it takes to complete the 2018 Long Island Tough Mudder? Put yourself to the test and register now for the race taking place July 21 at the Old Bethpage Village Restoration. The course, which features a number of grueling obstacles, spans 10-12 miles and usually takes 3 hours to complete. Check out the link below for more information.

Outdoor Yoga – Looking for something a little less intense in the summer heat? Check out an outdoor yoga class sponsored by Yoga Health for Long Island. On Saturday, July 28 at 10:30am, a free outdoor yoga session will be held at Hog Farm located on Beaver Dam Road in Brookhaven.
