What to Do This September in Patchogue


September is a busy month in Patchogue! During the next few weeks there will be a number of events taking place around The New Village, ranging from festivals and carnivals to philanthropy events. Check out some of the listings below if you’d like to attend or get involved.

Patchogue Italian Feast of Saint Liberata- The 50th Edition of the Patchogue Italian Feast of Saint Liberata is taking place this Saturday, September 16th. in downtown Patchogue. The festival will feature a traditional parade of the statue and live entertainment, as well as an abundance of indoor and outdoor dining.

Paws for A Cause- On Saturday, September 23rd, the Long Island Against Domestic Violence organization is hosting its Fifth Annual  “Paws for A Cause” Walk to end domestic violence and animal abuse. The event will take place from 10am-3pm at Fireman’s Park in Patchogue. Register for the event to help raise funds and awareness for pet abuse and family violence. Following the walk, there will be food, live entertainment, vendors, prizes and more! Pre-registration is $15.

Patchogue River Clean-Up- Spend the morning outdoors and take part in cleaning up your local community at the 2nd Annual Patchogue River Clean-Up. Taking place Saturday, September 30th from 10am-1pm, the National Park Service has organized the clean up to take place at the Watch Hill Ferry Terminal, where participants can clean along the shore, as well as in the water on kayaks. Activities at the Blue Point Brewery will follow immediately after the clean up!
