Festivals may be synonymous with a Long Island Summer, but
August in particular is hosting an abundance of food-themed events in the
greater Patchogue area. Grab your foodie
friends and check out the events below taking place near the New Village.
Alive After Five- Be sure not to miss the last installment
of this summer’s Alive After Five celebrations in Patchogue! The last date to
celebrate this summer is August 17th, and the celebration starts
after work right at 5pm. Sample foods from a variety of truck vendors and your
favorite restaurants on Main Street. While you eat, enjoy live music from
several local musicians and artists from a number of stages set up in the

Peach Festival at Harbes Family Farm- Head out eat to
Mattituck to celebrate the First Annual Peach Festival at Harbes Family Farm
and Vineyard August 19-20 from 10am-7pm. The festival will of course feature
fresh peaches, as well as Harbes signature apple cider donuts, roasted Long
Island corn, fresh squeezed lemonade and much more. Learn more at the link

Long Island Seafood Festival- If you’re a seafood lover,
than you can’t miss the Long Island Seafood Festival, taking place August 26th
and 27th from 10am-6pm at the Long Island Maritime Museum. Now in
its 26th year, the festival celebrates the abundance of Long Island
seafood with live music and a variety of seafood vendors from the local area.
The two main sponsors of the event, Blue Island Oyster Company and Claws Seafood
Market, will be serving a variety of seafood treats along with other food
vendors. While there, you’ll also have the opportunity to browse handmade items
from a number of local artisans.
